Hi! I'm Raphaëlle.

Welcome to my portfolio.

I'm a French journalist and developer based in Paris, France. I've graduated in June, 2021 from Sciences Po's School of Journalism, with a master's degree.

Since September 2020, I've been working for Le Monde as a journalist and editorial developer, first as an apprentice, and then as a full time employee. I'm part of the data journalism and fact-checking team called Les Décodeurs.

How did I learn how to code as a journalist, you're asking? I wrote my first lines of JavaScript at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I studied on exchange there, back in 2017. I also attended captivating graphic design and data journalism classes.

In 2019, I took a gap year to dive into C and Python's delicacies at Ecole 42, a French computer programming school.

I enjoy digging into any data-driven topic, though I'm particularly interested in environmental, political and society issues.

Outside of spending time debugging my code, I take pleasure in cooking veggie recipes, riding my bicycle, and pretty much any cultural activity.

I'm also a passionate cheese devourer and a fierce defender of my home region's culinary specialties.
